This is a favorite painting from one of our artist's personal art collections that Beauty and the Baby is now offering to one lucky person. This stunning oil sculpture-painting (by Sacramento's Leading Contemporary Artist, Anne Bradley) is a magnificent combination of steel and oils in rich pastel jewel tones of violet, blue and ivory.
The theme of Relationships is explored with two bodies standing opposite each other in the painting as well as a myriad of relationships in the steel band placed in the lower mid-section of the painting. The two bodies facing one another in paint allows you to feel the tension as they await the next moment. Will there be an embrace, a kiss, a handshake? Is the relationship intimate, casual, formal? What will happen next?
The steel "belt" contains silhouettes of faces and bodies, both near and far, and you can almost hear the voices of each person reaching out to the others. It's a conversation between numerous people captured in steel. It's amazing!
The dimensions are 24" x 24" and 1 1/2" deep, with 2 1/2" deep at the steel attachment. This painting does not need a frame as the painting "bleeds" fully over the sides. You will LOVE this painting! We've never seen anything like it before.
